Hardening of grippers and fixtures
Grippers and clamping elements are examples of machine parts that are subjected to considerable mechanical stress in most applications. The resistance to breakage, which is guaranteed by the elasticity of these parts, is therefore crucial for their proper functioning, which precludes the hardening of the parts in their entirety. For this reason, only those parts of grippers and clamping systems that are in contact with the workpieces and may be subject to abrasion are hardened.
