Hardening of knives and blades

In the case of classic knives and those being parts of machines, industrial mills, etc. An important advantage is the hardness of the blade and the susceptibility to bending and mechanical impact of the rest of the knife. Classical hardening of knives in their entirety is often impossible because of too high susceptibility to cracks.

In the case of hardening narrow blades and band saws, it is important to use high frequency to achieve a localised tepmerature effect within the teeth themselves.
