Pre-weld heating
Preheating of materials before welding is used in the case of parts made of alloys that are difficult to weld or in which significant mechanical stresses could occur during welding as a result of uneven temperature distribution. Welds made in workpieces that have been preheated show much greater durability and resistance to cracks in defectoscopic testing.
