Continuous casting

The process of continuous casting is used, among others, for the production of profiles, flat bars, rods, etc.

Continuous casting consists in crystallization of the molten metal in the crystallizer located below the crucible with molten metal. The crystalliser has the shape of the cross-section of the bar or profile obtained in the process and is cooled with the water jacket to the temperature required in the process. The electrically driven mechanical take-up system ensures continuous, uniform drawing of the workpiece out of the crystallizer.

This method is used both in the production process of bars with large dimensions and small silver or gold flat bars used in jewelry.
